Anneleen Boehme(°1989, Izegem, Belgium) studied jazz double bass at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague with Hein Van de Geyn and Frans Van der Hoeven, and at the Royal Music College of Antwerp with Nic Thys. She graduated in 2015 cum laude.
She took masterclasses with Larry Grenadier, Mike Rossi, Pierre Vaiana, Stefan Lievestro, Hans Van Oosterhout, Jasper van 't Hof, Brice Soniano and many others.
Next to music, Anneleen also studied languages (Dutch and English.)
Anneleen Boehme is the bass player of the well-known Belgian jazz trio LABtrio. (see "bands"), with whom she performed on numerous festivals in Belgium and abroad, and appeared on various national and international radio and tv shows.
Since 2019, she formed her own band Grand Picture Palace which has been warmly welcomed into the Belgian jazz scene. They have released a first album called Grand Picture Palace in 2021 with W.E.R.F. Records.
She is also playing in a couple of other bands. (see "bands") and has worked together with jazz musicians such as Chris Cheek, Michel Portal, Bert Joris, ...
Next to playing double bass, she is also a composer, singer and teacher.
